Caterham launches three new models to the Seven sports line-up

Caterham Seven 420

Racing car manufacturers Caterham have announced that they’ll be adding 3 new models to their Seven range of sports cars… (now let’s pause for applause).

Bulking out the range to five, the three new cars will slot between the existing 80bhp Seven 160 and 310bhp Seven 620 models.

These stripped-out drivers’ cars are something of a popular weekend toy who loves the old-school shits and giggles (like me).

They’re aren’t fitted with electronic driving aids or ABS anti-lock brakes and traction control, and you know what, that doesn’t scare me because I’m not a pussy. I revel in it.

The three new Caterhams look a little something like this…

  • Seven 270 – 1.6l Ford engine, 135bhp, 0-62mph in 5 secs
  • Seven 360 – 2.0l Ford engine, 180bhp, 0-62mph in 4.8 secs
  • Seven 420 – 2.0l Ford engine, 210bhp, 0-62mph in 4 secs
Porsche 911 Turbo S - Idea

To put that last one (the 420) into perspective, this is faster thn the Porsche 911 with almost double the power output to boot!

All three are on sale now, ranging from £22,995 to £29,995.
