Retro car colours are making a comeback

retro brown cars

Auctioneers CAP have revealed growing interest in green, beige, gold, bronze, brown, yellow and even orange cars – all of which have been despised by dealers for many decades.

This is according to the latest consumer research data from the car valuation experts.

The reason we can trust this car buying intention info is that CAP tracks the tastes and interests of thousands of motorists via their cap.co.uk web portal every month.

Rarely though are there such surprises. The most favourable colours are:

  • silver
  • black
  • blue
  • grey
  • red
  • white

Classic colours you’d think were dead and buried in the 70s that are growing in popularity:

  • green
  • beige
  • yellow
  • gold

I’m not sure I would trust just one before buying a car in this colour. For a different opinion on how much my car is worth, I used another online car buying website Trusted Car Buyers to value my car http://www.trustedcarbuyers.com/valueMyCar.html
